I haven’t always been a therapist. I have worked in the corporate sector for over 25 years as a personal and executive coach. During that time I worked with lots of frazzled, stressed professionals & individuals, helping them to find the resilience & skills needed to make mindset changes that stick.
In addition, my own life experiences of health issues, work stresses, loss & bereavement, family, and relationship challenges have given me a pragmatic perspective on life that enables me to really connect and understand my clients.
As an integrative counsellor I work with a range of techniques & therapeutic practices, that I use to build a truly individualised approach to suit your particular needs. As part of my training I have worked with CBT, TA and Solution Focused approaches; all of which aim to help you get a fresh perspective on what’s causing distress, and find a way forward.
Training, Qualifications & Professional Development
I trained at the Leeds Beckett University where I gained a Post Graduate Diploma Counselling & Psychotherapy. I am also a qualified coach, having completed my Post Graduate Diploma Coaching Psychology some years ago.
I have also done lots of additional training and professional development, which helps me to offer a truly flexible approach in working with clients;
Member Organisations
I am fully insured and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work within their Standards and Ethical Framework.
